Dear Valued Client -

As the news about COVID-19 and its effects evolve we are all learning how to react and adapt.  As you are aware, the deadline for filing your personal income taxes is April 15th.  While we understand that there are certain provisions being made available to prevent penalties and interest being charged if you owe money we still need to find a way to complete our clients’ tax returns or have them file an extension, and importantly collect your information safely to make that goal happen.

We are taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of Brighton Securities community (employees, clients, and business partners).  From this point forward we are asking that if at all possible that tax intakes must be completed electronically with any questions or discussions happening via the telephone or email.  Our clients have two methods to provide tax documents to our preparers safely and securely:

1.       Secure Email – Using our secure email system, email us your relevant tax documents so we can start your return

2.       Intuit Portal – Earlier this year you received a link to upload your documents directly to our Intuit portal.  If you would like us to resend that link to you, please call our tax assistant directly at (585) 340-2246 or email them at taxasst2@brightonsecurities.com

If you are unable to provide us with your tax documents electronically you have two options: 1) call our tax assistant and let them know that you would like us to file an extension on your behalf, or 2) deliver your tax documents to us in person. Please call our tax assistant directly at (585) 340-2246 or email them at taxasst2@brightonsecurities.com to make arrangements.  We ask that you put your documents in an envelope and put them in one of the receptacles located at either our main entrance or the entrance to our tax department.

If you would like further details, please feel free to reach out at your convenience.

Regards,

Dave Manioci
