In 1969, George began his career in the investment field, the same year Brighton Securities was founded. The 2005 merger of G. H. Arnold Associates into Brighton Securities brought him on board at the Batavia office.
George has always provided personal service across generations of clients, many of whom have become like family. Long an institution in business in Genesee County, George brings to bear his expertise in estate and retirement planning for his clients benefit. George is a long time member of a number of civic organizations in Genesee County. He and his wife, Patricia, live in Batavia and have four grown children.
Jodie’s passion is building long-lasting relationships with her clients to help them make more informed decisions. Her diverse client group appreciates her commitment to helping each individual build a financial future with structure and support. Jodie believes strongly that helping clients achieve what is important to them is best done through a relationship of trust and honesty.
As a mother, Jodie understands the unique needs women have in planning their financial future and specializes in helping women set and prioritize their goals. Her goal is to help take the worry out of investing through a comprehensive financial planning process.

Joe is pleased to join Brighton Securities so he can continue to grow at what he does best: critically analyzing client information, carefully researching various strategies and making recommendations to clients that are designed to help them address their specific needs and goals.
A native of South Korea who has spent most of his life in the Western New York area, Joe’s strength is in helping early-career professionals and young families and mid-career families understand their finances and help mitigate the risks we all face every day. He always strives to make complex financial information meaningful and relevant.
When he’s not working, Joe enjoys running and playing tennis, softball, volleyball and kickball. In addition, he volunteers with American Red Cross, Digital Rochester and his alma mater, R.I.T.
After 24 years with Merrill Lynch, Jim continues his focus on individual financial planning at Brighton Securities.
Jim builds relationships with his clients by composing diversified portfolios of mutual funds supplemented with individual stock and bond strategies.
A competitive distance runner for over 40 years, Jim also enjoys golf and landscaping.
George T. Conboy
George’s areas of expertise include local and national economic analysis, fundamental business analysis, fixed income and individual stocks. A former corporate tax accountant, George manages a national client base and specializes in thorough planning for comfortable retirement and for minimizing income and estate taxes.
George has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry and is frequently quoted in the local media when in-depth coverage is required on the stock market or local companies.

Sam joined the Brighton Securities team in 2011 with a background in equity and futures trading. His experience allows Sam to apply a robust analytical method to developing customized solutions for individual client needs and goals. Sam’s approach to financial planning begins with a detailed evaluation of each client’s circumstances and leads to the design of an individually-tailored plan. Through careful design and proactive monitoring Sam helps his clients achieve their financial goals, whether they are accumulation of wealth, income and capital preservation, or a life event planning, such as for a child’s education.
A graduate of the Nazareth College of Rochester, Sam lives in Irondequoit where he values spending time with family and friends. You might also see Sam around town playing music in one of Rochester’s numerous clubs or live music events.
Mike Fahey, CFP ®
Mike comes to Brighton Securities with thirty years of investment experience. He spent the better part of the past two decades with some of the world's largest global banks receiving numerous promotions along the way. During that time he received both local and regional recognition for his financial expertise.
Mike believes in listening to his clients. His focus is to help individuals develop a very personal investment portfolio. Though specializing in retirement strategies he is well versed in all aspects of financial planning. Mike formalized his financial planning expertise by obtaining his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1994.
Mike and his wife Kathy are long time residents of Batavia. They recently became grandparents for the first time. When not in the office you will probably find Mike working the landscaping at his home.
After 5 years at Smith Barney and HSBC, Sal Joined Brighton Securities in search of better opportunities for his clients. Previously, Sal worked 30 years in the manufacturing industry where he was a senior manager overseeing the service department.
A graduate of Alfred State College, Sal lives in Greece with his wife Debbie. Their two daughters are in college: Jennifer studies Chemistry at the University of Miami and Samantha is a Math major at SUNY Plattsburgh. In his spare time, Sal enjoys a variety of sports and (when the weather is good) a nice motorcycle ride.
Tim joined Brighton Securities in 1991 after several years with Rochester Community Savings Bank and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
His approach to clients is to provide them with value, not hype, and he specializes in local stocks and unrecognized, undervalued companies.
Tim lives in Irondequoit with his wife Beth. His interests include golf, music, and antique cars.
Vice President - Financial Advisor
With nearly three decades of experience with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, Mike brings his clients a strong background in individual financial planning and specialized retirement planning. Serving his clients with a personal approach is Mike’s highest priority.
Mike has financial planning training and is Envision Certified, meaning he’s an expert at developing sophisticated financial plans that give his clients a 360-degree view of their financial health at any point and for simulated future realities. Of course, the most important part of this process is listening, and Mike takes the time to learn his clients priorities and goals so that they are accurately reflected in their plan.
A lifelong resident of Penfield, Mike and his family enjoy travel and spending time on Keuka Lake.
Douglas Hendee, CFP ®
Vice President - Sales Manager
Doug began his career in 1999 at Morgan Stanley. He earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2007 and has continued to evolve his practice by implementing a comprehensive approach to wealth management.
Each relationship begins with an extensive fact-finding process which is developed into a tailored personal plan through a collaboration between Doug and his clients. This plan is continuously reviewed and revised as circumstances change. This detailed approach builds steady, long-term relationships. Doug’s practice includes retirement planning, college saving, wealth transfer, as well as, investment and risk management strategies.
Doug lives in Penfield. He is a board member of the Pirate Toy Fund and a fitness instructor at Midtown Athletic Club.
Stephen T. Hicks
A lifelong resident of Albion, Steve is based in our Batavia office.
Steve graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Finance, and has extensive experience with the Oswego College Foundation. He is dedicated to providing detailed personal service to his clients.
In his spare time Steve plays a bit of golf and softball, and he admits to being a fan of both the Sabres and the Bills.
A quarter century of investment industry experience has positioned Paul to understand the fine points of the financial markets, and has given him the opportunity to weather many market cycles firsthand. There is no substitute for experience, as Paul's clients could tell you. Coming to Brighton Securities from a major Wall Street firm, Paul has counseled hundreds of clients in reaching their financial goals in a sensible, conservative fashion. His background in retail merchandising has served him and his clients well in providing insight to the corporate world.
Paul and his wife Linda live in Chili.
Senior Vice President - Financial Advisor
Caroline joined Brighton Securities in 2005 from a national brokerage firm in Rochester. Her experience spans years in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago working on the institutional side before becoming a financial advisor for individual clients. She provides clients with custom-tailored financial solutions and a high level of expertise to help them meet their financial life-goals. Caroline can dissect complicated financial dynamics and explain complex concepts in straightforward terms.
Caroline graduated from UCLA and lives in Brighton with her two teenage daughters and is active in community affairs. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, travel, cooking for friends, hearing live music and watching her daughters play varsity lacrosse and field hockey for Brighton High School.
Senior Vice President - Financial Advisor
Bob joined Brighton Securities in 2009 from Smith Barney where he was a Financial Planning Specialist. Prior to that he was a Manager with Merck & Co. Bob has a degree in Economics from SUNY Brockport.
Bob prides himself on giving his clients personally focused advice to help them achieve their retirement goals. He specializes in comprehensive retirement income and estate planning.
Bob serves on the Board of Pittsford Little League and is an administrator of softball for the Rochester area. He and his wife Jill live in Pittsford and have two grown children.
John has been in the financial industry for over 25 years, first working with attorneys and accountants on tax and estate issues. At Brighton Securities, where he has been for nearly 20 years, John provides advice on both equity and fixed income portfolios that are tailored to the life cycle of each of his clients. He has done advanced study in financial analysis as well as in insurance licensure.
John is an avid music fan, from jazz to rock and roll. He also enjoys hiking in the Rocky Mountains and exploring farm markets for their diverse people and produce.
Gary S. Michaels
After five years at national brokerage firms, Gary is happy to join the independent firm of Brighton Securities. His previous experience at national brokerage firms, The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Fidelity Investments, and Putnam Investments has afforded him broad and valuable financial industry understanding.
Gary serves a wide variety of clients spanning newer investors looking to build wealth and those seeking retirement income. He provides individualized advice to clients based upon careful consideration of personal needs.
In his spare time, Gary enjoys reading a variety of financial publications, golfing, and working out.
Brennan Redmond, CFA
Vice President - Financial Advisor
Brennan's practice focuses on a wealth management process that provides clients with individualized solutions for a range of financial issues. Through design, implementation and monitoring he works closely with clients to develop strategies that build a framework for evaluating their complex financial lives. This helps his clients sensibly and practically address concerns such as: am I saving enough or spending too much?; are my investments and strategy good for me and appropriate for the times?; are my family and wealth protected from health risks?
These wealth strategies provide the foundation for unique advice rather than off-the-shelf solutions that tend to fit people into products. As Brennan is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter holder, indicating his completion of a rigorous and comprehensive program in the field of portfolio management and investment analysis, the advice he provides is anchored in time-tested principles yet utilizes the most modern tools available.
An upstate New York native originally from Cazenovia, Brennan came to Rochester to study finance at RIT. His work experience includes years of investment research and marketing with both international and local money management firms. In his free time Brennan keeps busy with activities such as golfing, tennis, skiing, exercising, volunteering, and he enjoys reading history.
Chuck Wade joined the Brighton Securities team in 2012 after an award-winning career in broadcasting with 13WHAM-TV. He is currently finishing his M.B.A. at St. John Fisher College.
Chuck’s experiences have provided him with a keen ability to listen for and analyze detail within a situation. He looks forward to utilizing these skills to develop a highly detailed personal assessment of each client’s goals. Under the mentorship of President George Conboy, Chuck will then provide individuals, families and institutions with customized plans to accomplish life objectives through active management and communication.
